Manitoba Canola Growers are pleased to announce the 2024 high school scholarship winners. Five $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to deserving students from across Manitoba. This year’s winners are:
- Emilyn Nestibo, Goodlands, MB. Emilyn will be attending University of Manitoba.
- Laura Delichte, St. Alphonse, MB. Laura will be attending University of Manitoba.
- Madisyn Robertson, Neepawa, MB. Madisyn will be attending University of Saskatchewan.
- Raylyn Koshowski, Dauphin, MB. Raylyn will be attending University of Calgary.
- Zenith Vanstone, Miami, MB. Zenith will be attending Olds College.
The $1,000 scholarships are available to students who are graduating from grade 12 and live on, work for or have guardians who work for a farm that is a member of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association (MCGA) and plan to attend post-secondary education in any field within two years of graduating.
Students submit their applications, which are judged by an independent panel, based on academics, their personal connection to canola, school and community involvement, references and an essay submission.
We were blown away by a record number of high-quality applications this year! The competition was fierce – a HUGE thank you to everyone who applied and to our amazing judges.
