The 2017 Manitoba Canola Growers (MCGA) Annual General Meeting was held during the CropConnect Conference February 15 & 16, 2017 in Winnipeg. Click the following links to view information that was provided to members at the AGM.

MCGA on Sustainability
Sustainability is one of the pillars of the MCGA. The agriculture sector depends on long range forward planning, business risk management and actionable items that maintain the viability of the organization and industry as a whole. Please enjoy this video.
Leadership at the Table
It has become abundantly clear that spending time on the development of Leadership is integral to our industry. Our numbers are small but our voices have to be heard to be impactful. At MCGA, the commitment to leadership is a priority.
Market development and promotion is part of what MCGA does on behalf of its members. Over the last year we’ve seen an increase in Canola oil usage and awareness. The Canola Eat Well team made over 34 Million impressions with consumers across the country in 2015/16.
Research & The Pest Surveillance Initiative
MCGA has invested over $480,000 in new and continuing research projects in the 2015-16 year. These funds were leveraged through partnerships at a 4:1 ratio accumulating in a total of 2.1 million dollars in collaborative research.
