June 16, 2017 – Manitoba Canola Growers Association(MCGA) are excited to announce that Delaney Ross Burtnack will be joining their team effective July 31, 2017.  She will be taking over leadership of the organization from retiring Executive Director, Bill Ross.

“Delaney is an experienced leader who understands the importance of providing value back to farmers.  Her background in research, communications and extensive agriculture network will make her an asset to the organization.” shares Chuck Fossay, MCGA president.

With a strong educational background in agriculture and science from the University of Manitoba combined with her 10 years of experience including 6 years as the President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Agri-Retailers (CAAR), Delaney brings insight and understanding to the challenges and opportunities that MCGA faces.

“I have long recognized the critical role that the canola associations play in protecting and advancing one of Canada’s premiere crops through leading edge research, public outreach, and agronomic information. I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the MCGA team, sharing in the great work that Bill Ross and the staff have established in Manitoba, in order to contribute to the continued advancement of canola research and productivity on behalf of Manitoba’s canola growers.” states Delaney Ross Burtnack.

“It has been a pleasure to serve Manitoba canola farmers over the past 15 years. I am excited to watch the organization continue to thrive and I know that MCGA will be in good hands with Delaney as Executive Director.” adds Bill Ross.
