We Are The Best – CBC Series

Canola farmers were featured in the CBC series We Are the Best:  We Are the Best is a collection of 52 short video documentaries that uncover, celebrate and explore the extraordinary richness of Canada’s culinary heritage.

Farmer and MCGA director Charles Fossay represented farmers sharing canola as an incredible Canadian invention and global success. Canada is the world’s number-one canola producer and exporter.

It’s no coincidence that the name canola is a portmanteau word combining “Canada” with “ola,” which in Latin refers to oil.
